SOULFLY Guitarist To Headline Two Benefit Shows For Hurricane Katrina Victims
September 19, 2005SOULFLY guitarist Marc Rizzo will be headlining 2 benefit shows for Hurricane Katrina victims with his side project, COMMITTEE OF THIRTEEN.
The first show will be at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT on Friday, September 23. Also on the bill are 25 TA LIFE and DEAD BY WEDNESDAY, featuring former members of GARGANTUA SOUL. Toad's Place will be collecting clothing and canned goods.
The second show will be at the Starland Ballroom in Sayerville, NJ on Friday, September 30. Also on the bill are CORETEZ, featuring Roger Vasquez (formerly of ILL NINO) and CONNECTED, featuring Fern (formerly of the STEP KINGS). All proceeds from the show will go to the Red Cross helping victims of the hurricane.
After that, Marc heads out on the road with SOULFLY starting October 12 to support their latest album, "Dark Ages", scheduled for release on October 4 via Roadrunner Records.
